So for about a month now I’ve been commuting via Interstate to a neighboring town for work. Each way, it’s about 30 miles and takes about 40 minutes, and everyone likes to ask me about how much I hate it. I sort of love it though.
Of course, there’s the unfortunate parts: the environmental impact, the wear on my vehicle, and the criminal cost of gas.
I usually leave work between 6:30 and 7:00 when what little traffic exists here has dissipated, and (at least now, in April) the sun is setting. Everything is yellow, radio up, windows down, and only myself.
What a waste it would be, spending 80 minutes a day being miserable.
